THE POWER OF GOD STARTS WITH LOVE January 7, 2011
My heart is to see everyone walk with freedom in Christ, to see everyone walk with healthy bodies and sound minds and to manifest the power of God in their lives on a consistent basis. As a Natural health Consultant, you know how fired up I must get about life and health and the Word of God in those areas. Tonight, I am not going to teach a mini how to get well seminar. Those will come, but not everyone is interested in that. So if you are interested in mini health seminars about how to not be so tired all the time, how to deal with stress, how to get your cholesterol under control, you will need to let me know and sign up for those classes. Tonight, God wants you to know HOW MUCH HE LOVES YOU. Say GOD IS LOVE. Say GOD LOVES ME.
Tonight we are going to focus on: THE POWER OF GOD STARTS WITH LOVE.
God cannot do anything but to love you. For if He did not love you, he would be a liar and God is light, in Him is no darkness at all. He IS love, therefore He loves. And He loves YOU. God cannot do anything less for you than He will for me or anyone else. If He did, He would not be love. He would be in darkness. God's definition of hate is LOVING LESS. If he loved anyone less, he would be in darkness. Hating, LOVING LESS is BEING IN darkness.
1 JOHN 2:5-11
The word hate here means to love less. It has a connotation of betrayal, to trouble, to exclude, to persecute, to detest, to chide, to defame, to taunt, to rile, AND EVEN TO THINK AGAINST SOMEONE! We do not have time to look at all the verses where this is made evident. If you want to look at it more closely, study the Greek word, MISEO, Strong’s number 3404
3 John 2 says Beloved I wish above all things that you may prosper and be in health even as your soul prospers.
Our souls CANNOT PROSPER when we are thinking against our sisters and brothers in Christ, when we defame them, betray them or defraud them. Think against them???? What about SPEAKING AGAINST THEM?? What’s in your mind will come out your mouth. Lets not defame God’s people by criticizing them, judging them, talking the down and stuff like that. Oh Lord, help me to walk in love more and more in my thoughts, words and actions.
Keep this in mind. God is love and He wants us to walk in love and to love one another. People will see that we are disciples ONLY if we love one another well, like Jesus loves His Father, like Jesus loves us. Remember the Scripture that talks about what Jesus taught, that if a man thinks on a woman in his heart to lust after her, that man commits adultery? So is it when we defame, or think less of God’s people than what God thinks of them! We hate them. Hate is not necessarily an act like murder, although it does end up that way sometimes. Thinking less of someone in your mind is as hateful as the act of doing something against them. [see PROVERBS 11:18 AMPLIFIED VERSION] Glory to God! How about when I think less of myself than what God thinks of me? What about when you think less of yourself than what God thinks of you? To let your soul prosper, you need to receive God’s love for yourself.
To have sound health and prosper in every area of our lives, is a DIRECT reflection of just how much our soul is prospering. Do you want to prosper in the area of walking in the resurrection power of Jesus Christ; that at the Word you speak, devils are cast out, the lame walk, the blind see and the dead are raised to life again?
The foundation we build our life upon is the rock, Christ Jesus our Lord. The foundation is sure and steadfast and it is already laid down. On this foundation, we build God’s love first. What is the great and first commandment? Thou shalt love Yahweh your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind and with all your strength and the second is like unto it, Love your neighbor as yourself. If you think less of yourself, then you will probably think less of your neighbor, too.
Let your soul prosper and walk in Love, as He is Love.
Last week, Lori said, “Step into the presence of God and praise Him, be intimate with Him and come up into a reciprocal relationship with God. Ask Him, what can I do for you today, Lord?” Lesa said, “ Love opens the door to the power of God.” Oh yes!
Love is not self centered. Love lays down his life for his friends. Lets get to the place where it is not all about me, its all about Him. This is a mature Christian walk, it is a walk of Love, to give out God’s kind of unconditional love and to be ready to obey God at all times. We love Him only if we keep His commandments. What is his commandment? The first & second one. What about when God tells you to do something for Him? Will you need to develop obedience so you say, OK, God, even when you do not feel like doing it? Will you need to develop unswerving confidence in God’s word to you and act with boldness and faith in it? I know I needed to develop this and still at times, have trouble responding to God like this.
Turn to Luke 6:27 27 ¶ But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies (hateful, odious, hostile people), do good to them which hate you, 28 Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which despitefully use you. 29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloke forbid not to take thy coat also. 30 Give to every man that asketh of thee; and of him that taketh away thy goods ask them not again. 31 And as ye would that men should do to you, do ye also to them likewise. 32 For if ye love them which love you, what thank have ye? for sinners also love those that love them. 33 And if ye do good to them which do good to you, what thank have ye? for sinners also do even the same. 34 And if ye lend to them of whom ye hope to receive, what thank have ye? for sinners also lend to sinners, to receive as much again. 35 But love ye your enemies, and do good, and lend, hoping for nothing again; and your reward shall be great, and ye shall be the children of the Highest: for he is kind unto the unthankful and to the evil.
He is KIND to unthankful, evil people. Oh indeed, He is kind to us at our most unlovely moments.
If someone walks in here that worships Michael Jackson, and sells her body to anyone willing to buy it, is strung out on cocaine or crack, will you be KIND to her to her face and think disparagingly about her behind her back? Will you whisper to someone else, Look at her, and say out from the corner of your mouth, “ what a slut?” Or will you have compassion on her, because she has been deceived by her enemy and our enemy, the devil, and will you love her like Jesus loved Mary Magdelene? Oh God, help me love in thought, deed and action. It is not easy to love like this. Can I extend forgiveness to a sinner like the Lord forgave me when I was still dead in my trespasses and sins? Can I love my kids when they are being disrespectful or disobedient? Can I still be kind to them and instruct them with love and speak the truth to them in love without flying off the handle? Can I lend them money knowing they will never repay me? Can I be gentle to a disobedient grandchild who wants to throw a fit about her toothbrush? I fail more times than not. My word for the year is LOVE. Walk in LOVE. I want to walk in power so I want to walk in love more and more.

WE BUILD UPON THE ROCK, CHRIST, WE BUILD OUR ABODE, WE ABIDE in CHRIST. we ABIDE IN LIGHT, ABIDE IN LOVE, ABIDE IN THE VINE WE WILL NOT BE SHAKEN.
LUKE 6:48
48 He is like a man which built an house, and digged deep, and laid the foundation on a rock: and when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently upon that house, and could not shake it: for it was founded upon a rock.
LOVE DOES NOT PAY ANY ATTENTION TO THE ATTACKS AND WORDS FROM PEOPLE WHO TRY TO BEAT US UP AND MOVE US AWAY FROM THE HOPE OF THE GOSPEL OF CHRIST.
EPHESIANS 3:18
WE LAY OUR FOUNDATION IN LOVE, ON THE ROCK CHRIST, SO THAT WE May be able to comprehend (ATTAIN, SEIZE, TAKE EAGERLY, POSSESS) with all saints what is the breadth, and length, and depth, and height; 19 And to know the love of Christ, which passeth knowledge, that ye might be filled with all the fulness of God.
IT IS AVAILABLE TO ATTAIN TO AND SEIZE THE UNDERSTANDING & KNOWLEDGE OF THE LOVE OF GOD AND TO BE FILLED WITH ALL HIS FULNESS. WANT TO BE FILLED WITH ALL THE FULNESS OF GOD? WHAT IS THE FULNESS OF GOD? TO BE FILLED WITH ALL HE IS AT ALL TIMES, IN EVERY WAY, HE IS SPIRIT, HE IS LOVE, HE IS LIGHT, HE IS MERCY, HE IS ALL MIGHTY, HE IS ALL POWERFUL, HIS WORD IS QUICK & SHARPER THAN ANY TWO EDGED SWORD THAT CAN DIVIDE BETWEEN SOUL, SPIRIT, BONE & MARROW! AT HIS WORD, THE ANGELS GO TO WORK. HE IS LOVE.
The more we abide in His love, the more we exercise ourselves to walk in love, the more we will understand Love, the more we will comprehend Love, the more we will know GOD who is Love in all of His glorious dimensions.
Colossians 1: 18 And he JESUS CHRIST is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. 19 For it pleased the Father that in him should all fulness dwell;
ALL THE FULLNESS OF GOD DWELLS IN CHRIST. WHO DWELLS IN YOU? COLOSSIANS 1:27& SAYS ITS CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY HE DWELLS IN OUR HEARTS THROUGH FAITH.
20 And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say, whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. 21 And you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled 22 In the body of his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable and unreproveable in his sight: 23 If ye continue in the faith grounded and settled, and be not moved away (NOT STIRRED AWAY TO SOMEPLACE ELSE)
OH WHAT HAS THE ABILITY TO STIR YOU UP AND GET YOU AWAY FROM THE foundation of Christ the Rock, who is LOVE? Only the foe you ALLOW to stir you up and away. from the hope of the gospel, which ye have heard, Ephesians 3: 20 Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, 21 Unto him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end. Amen.
God is able to do much more, He can do exceeding abundantly above all we can ask or think. Can you think it? Can you ask it? He can do way more than that, according to the POWER AT WORK IN US. WHAT POWER AT WORK IN US? IT IS THE SAME POWER AT WORK IN US THAT RAISED UP CHRIST FROM THE DEAD AND SEATED HIM IN THE HEAVENLY PLACES AT GODS RIGHT HAND, THAT POWER. THE POWER OF THE RESURRECTION. IN YOU. IN ME. WHAT'S IT TAKE?
To dwell in love, to walk in love, to build your life on the rock, LOVE
Ephesians 1:16 Cease not to give thanks for you, making mention of you in my prayers; 17 That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: 18 The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know (Know is Greek word GINOSKO, NOT JUST BE AWARE OF IT. YEAH, YEAH, I AM AWARE GOD LOVES ME. BUT TO BE INTIMATELY ACQUAINTED WITH IT, HAVING A WORKING EXPERIENTIAL KNOWLEDGE OF IT. WE ALL KNOW HOW TO FLY. WE BUY A TICKET AND GET ON THE PLANE. BUT PILOTS HAVE AN INTIMATE, EXPERIENTIAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE MECHANICS OF FLYING, THEY KNOW HOW TO FLY, THEY KNOW HOW TO OPERATE THE PLANE AND GET IT UP IN THE AIR. LIKEWISE, GOD WANTS US TO KNOW HOW TO OPERATE HIS LOVE AND WALK IN HIS FULNESS LIKE THAT. NOT JUST BUY A TICKET AND RIDE IN IT, BUT TO FLY THE PLANE, TO OPERATE IT, TO GET TO THE DESTINATION FROM BEGINNING TO END. TO KNOW THE DETAILS OF HIS LOVE, PERSONALLY, INTIMATELY AND THROUGH EXPERIENCE. LETS PUT IN MANY FLIGHT HOURS.
VS 18 SO THAT YE MAY KNOW what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints, 19 And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power, 20 Which he wrought in Christ, when he raised him from the dead, and set him at his own right hand in the heavenly places, 21 Far above all principality, and power, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world, but also in that which is to come: 22 And hath put all things under his feet, and gave him to be the head over all things to the church, 23 Which is his body, the fulness of him that filleth all in all.
It takes faith, trust, confidence in God and this faith is activated and goes to work BY LOVE.
It is available for all believers, all born again Christians, all saints to know the love of Christ. The love of Christ far exceeds the regular knowledge but it is still available for each one of us to know it and experience it in all its wonderful height and depth and width and breadth.
He wants us to know this love intimately so we may also be filled with all His fullness and power which dwells in Christ, who dwells in us.
God is FULL OF HIMSELF. Again, God is Love, He is Light, He is all mighty. He is full of compassion and mercy which are new everyday. He is all powerful. If you want to walk with power, it begins with walking in LOVE.
Ephesians 5:1,2 1 ¶ Be ye therefore followers of God, as dear children; 2 And walk in love, as Christ also hath loved us, and hath given himself for us an offering and a sacrifice to God for a sweetsmelling savor.
Matthew 22:37-40 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love
the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all
thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. On the law of love hang all the law and the prophets.
LOVING GOD FIRST WITH ALL YOU HAVE, WITH ALL THAT IS IN YOU, AND LOVING YOUR NEIGHBOR LIKE THAT, LIKE YOU LOVE YOURSELF, ON THIS HANGS ALL THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS.
OK THINK ABOUT THAT. ALL THE LAW, ALL THE COMMANDMENTS IN THE ENTIRE BIBLE ARE HANGING ON THE ROD OF LOVE. ALL THE PROPHETS, INCLUDING ALL THE PROPHETS IN BOTH THE OLD & NEW TESTAMENTS, AND ALL PROPHETS, WHO ARE ARE NOW SPEAKING THE MESSAGES OF GOD LIKE. ITS CHRIST IN YOU THE HOPE OF GLORY, LIKE YOU CAN DO THE WORKS THAT JESUS DID AND GREATER WORKS, THAT YOU CAN DEMONSTRATE THE RESURRECTION POWER OF CHRIST, ON THE ROD OF LOVE, THIS IS HANGING.
WANT TO KNOW WHY WE DO NOT SEE SIGNS MIRACLES AND WONDERS ALL THE TIME? IT HANGS ON THE WALK OF LOVE, THE LOVING GOD FIRST WITH ALL WE HAVE AND WALKING IN LOVE UNSELFISHLY WITH OUR NEIGHBORS.
Do you want to be available to God to use you at all times as a faithful steward of the ministry that God gave you? Then develop this walk of love and walk in love like Jesus walked in love and gave His life for the church.
My new years resolution is to walk in love more for my Father first and to love in my thinking and in my words and actions more to God’s people, good ones, evil ones, saved ones and unsaved ones. I desire to eliminate hateful thinking, to captivate my mind to the obedience of Christ so that I may abound in love, walk in love as He is love so that He may manifest his power in me more and more fully.
People come to me for natural health solutions. Some have medically incurable diseases. By the time I am finished with my studies, I want to have the love walk practiced so consistently that I am ready always, no matter what, to minister healing to those who come, not just through imparting knowledge about vitamins and herbs, but by exerting the fullness of God’s power with an impact, imparting spiritual miracles by faith, which is energized first by love.
GALATIANS 5:6 6 For in Jesus Christ neither circumcision availeth (forces) any thing, nor uncircumcision; but faith which worketh (is energized, is activated, works) by love.
Let our faith be energized and activated by Love. Let our souls prosper in His love and power. Let us love all people more, not less. Amen.
