This teaching was presented to God’s Girls Ministry Women’s Bible
study on Monday, September 27, 2010. Personal testimonies are not
included in these notes. This editor believes personal testimonies
belong to the person telling it and should not be posted on a public
forum such as the Internet by anyone except the testifier. Bracketed
and italicized scripture references supplied in these notes were not
in the teaching but are here as a study reference for your learning.
King James Version Bible quoted unless noted otherwise.

When ever their is a transition, there is change. Some have enjoyed the change. Some times change is difficult for  people. But change and growth are inevitable. Some people come for just a little while, get what they need and move on. Of course we never want to see anyone leave.

We listened to a clip by Andy Stanley," We have to Get Better before We Get Bigger":

Truet Cathy, VP CEO of Chick Fil A listened to a round table discussion about getting bigger, expanding faster to keep up with competitors, Boston Market, who was expanding faster than they were. He began to pound his fists on the table."I am sick & tired of hearing you talk about how we can get bigger. If we can get better our customers will demand we get bigger." As big as we are let's not forget to focus on getting better. Everything can get better. Everything should get better. It is my responsibility, it is your responsibility that we get better.

CLARIFICATION & EVALUATION

With a system  and people in place don't lose our passion to get better.

Clarification--clarifying the win. Ask questions: What is the thing that we celebrate? Build a consensus about what we are trying to do & accomplish. For sales, marketing, new product, or a new launch we need to clarify what we are doing and trying to accomplish. This requires meetings to get everyone on the same page. This helps get volunteers and workers to understand what we are trying to accomplish.

Example: Good Preaching=people enjoy the preaching so much they will come back for more, and come back so many times that they get delivered and get to the place where they can find scriptures on their own for themselves.

You can reach a goal but you can experience a win.

Evaluates--evaluation without clarification does no good. Evaluate without a filter. Nothing and no conversation is off limits no matter what part of the program is being evaluated and discussed from top to bottom.

OUR WIN

What is GGM's win?
           (ideas suggested)

  • To bring people to Christ

  • To be a safe place for deliverance

  • Volunteers receive presence of God

  • Un-churched experience the church in a better light and see the love of God

There are two wins for us:

  • Bringing people to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, both the churched and the un-churched

  • Providing an avenue for helping those who want deliverance.  We are all still in the sanctification process.
