Lesa Writing From the desk of Lesa Ankney...

"'For
I know the plans I have for you,' says the LORD. 'They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.'"

Jeremiah 29:11

July 30th, 2009
I can remember being given a coffee mug some years ago with this scripture on it. It sat on my kitchen window sill so that I would see it everyday as a reminder and encouragement that “God knew” the plans that he had for me. The reality is that there should have been another mug beside it that said “Well, WOULD YOU MIND SHARING THEM WITH ME?” because that was the immediate next thought almost every time I read it.

Isn’t that how we are sometimes? We don’t enjoy where we are right now because we are looking to the unmet desires of today and thinking that if I only______________ (you fill in the blank) then I would be happy. It might be something like: “If I only knew the plans that you had for me God.” Or “If I only had a husband.”  Or this is my favorite:“If only I could be in full time ministry!”

The truth is that none of those things will bring you any closer to happiness than the other. As a matter of fact, happiness is not the goal!

"And the ransomed of the LORD shall return and come to Zion with singing; everlasting joy shall be upon their heads; they shall obtain gladness and joy, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away."
                                                                                                                                                                  Isaiah 35:10

Ransom is to make payment for the release of someone or the act of freeing from captivity or punishment. Real joy comes as a result of being freed from captivity. If you are a follower of Jesus Christ you have been ransomed. God made the payment for your release! Therein lies your joy!!!!

Jesus Christ really is enough. Knowing him is our reason to learn to be content (Phil. 4:11) in the place we are as we are growing into the place we will be. Everyday has value and purpose as we put our trust in the promise that HE KNOWS the plans that he has for us and that they are GOOD because HE IS A GOOD GOD!

Be blessed,

Carol Pursuing God's Plans in Natural Health

SOZO Clean just celebrated our third anniversary and we are a growing, thriving business in the midst of the economical storm that our world is experiencing. We are thankful that God is true to his word and has blessed us in this way.

Carol Kenreigh has been a part of the plan that God had for us since the beginning and has been a faithful servant over the past three years, wearing too many hats to name. Currently she serves as a trainer for SOZO Clean and has served as Vice President for God’s Girls Ministry since our inception in March of 2007.

You may have met Carol when visiting the SOZO Store or shared prayer lunches with her in God’s Office. She is responsible for our logos, desk top publishing, websites and often teaches at GGM meetings and conferences.

Carol’s life was ransomed by a savior that she loves, which is evident in her day to day walk with him. Recently, it has become very clear to GGM and to Carol that her real passion is in natural health and our body’s ability to heal itself as it is properly cared for and nourished. In light of this, Carol has resigned from her position as Vice President of GGM to pursue a Naturopathy Doctor degree  beginning this fall. She will remain with us at God’s Girls and will continue to serve in a lesser capacity.

It is so exciting to see God reveal the plans that he has for Carol knowing that she is now ready to pursue the direction he has called her. We congratulate her for her diligence to seek Him first and know that she will have great success in this new endeavor.

Please keep Carol and her family in your prayers as they adjust to a new turn in the road. We love you, Carol and thank you for all you have been and will continue to be to God’s Girls!
