God's Extravagant
Love Revealed
at Retreat
Beginning with dinner on Friday night, and ending
with dinner Saturday night, God's extravagant love was evident
through and through at the God's Extravagant Love Retreat held
March 19, and 20th at The Livingstone Monastery.
This was the first year I have ever had the honor to be on the
receiving end of a God's Girls Ministry event. God showed up in
a huge way to make everyone aware of His presence and love. Much
time was spent at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ first thing
after dinner, as we worshipped and prayed in the Livingstone
House of Prayer. This set the tone for a weekend filled with
intimate time with God.
Lesa Ankney taught, "Will You Remain at a Distance?" She
described some things which keep us from experiencing intimacy
with God, such as self-righteousness, self-pity,
self-sufficiency other self-life idols. God will remove the veil
off of our heart. But we must submit to His presence, trust Him,
and lay down that thing that keeps Him at arms length.
Many special treats were provided all weekend long that
magnified God's love and care for us. We even celebrated a
wedding feast together as the Bride of Christ.

Retreat Refreshed
the Saints
God brought women together for the
Extravagant Love Retreat from all over and from various
backgrounds. One was from the United Kingdom, one a
pastor's wife, one an elder's wife, four were regular contributors to GGM,
(but needed
to be on the receiving end this time), and all the others were
from the local area. We all came away rested and refreshed and
were shown the
importance of setting aside daily, quality time to be in the
presence of our loving Heavenly Father. |
