Vice President, Jan Oals
Jan Oals wears many hats; wife, mother, grandmother, avid gardener, fabulous cook, canner, baker, Administrative Assistant and Vice President (and good friend). When Carol resigned from the board, Jan obeyed God to fill the vacancy with her strong administrative talents and skill. Jan lives with an open hand and an open heart, loves her Lord, her family, and friends, deeply and warmly. Ask her about her beautiful lilies (the ones she hybridized herself). Maybe you will get to see a picture of them and hear a story about how beautiful God is in all His creation. You will feel loved and welcomed around Jan because she also has a gift of hospitality that she freely uses to teach THE LOST ARTS OF THE HOME.
Missy Smith
Secretary, Mary Smoot
Mary
Smoot is a wife and a mother of three children. She is dedicated to her
extended family and is a loyal friend. Mary is a magnificent writer,
(check
out her blog here) and the other half of MS2
Photography. Brilliant and animated, Mary brings a breath of
fresh air to our meetings. We all eagerly anticipate a novel by Mary
someday. (hint, hint)...In the meantime, her blog keeps us entertained
and her notes from our meetings keep us reminded of the work we do
together.
Carol Chandler (not pictured)
Carol has worked with Lesa from the very first day of SOZO Clean & God's Girls Ministry's conception. She obeyed the Lord to help in any capacity as was needed. In the beginning, this included logo design, web site development and marketing materials including phone book ad design, and all the desktop publishing needed for all conferences including GOD, Women & Chocolate. Carol served as the first vice president and because of her dedicated service, Carol has been designated a lifetime honorary board member. Now Carol helps people get & stay well naturally. Lesa
Ankney has been faithful to follow God's lead and obey Him. She left a
great job at Christopher Newport University to devote more of her time
and energy into God's Girls Ministry, run her award winning
eco-friendly business (SOZO Clean), and open a marketplace
ministry, The Circuit, (a free wi-fi cafe), which is open to the public
and run by volunteers.
God's Girls Ministry was birthed to offer
a safe place for women to be real, get answers and receive help for
lasting change. "My experience can only help you so far," she said.
"Look to Jesus; he can take you all the way."

Treasurer, Missy Smith
Missy Smith has been an active part of God's Girls Ministry from the early period at the Sherwood Shopping Center location, and coordinated a Book of the Month Club there. Currently, Missy serves as our Treasurer. Missy is a wife, dental assistant and an avid photographer who captures life's fleeting moments with skill and beauty. She is developing a new business, MS2 Photography, in partnership with her best friend, Mary Smoot. If you would spend time and get to know Missy, you will immediately see Missy is a remarkable young woman who loves the Lord with all her heart,who showcases a kind and peaceful spirit.
